Some shots from yesterday’s Long Live The Kings Rally. 10k fans came out to show their love for our city and team. A true historic moment for our region. Rumor has it, we even caused the earth to shake a 5.7 on the Richter scale! #GOKINGS! #lltkrally (at Cesar Chavez Plaza)

tonight, our city celebrated a hard-fought, well-deserved, momentous victory. the kings stay. the maloofs go. a new arena will be built. a revitalized downtown will become a regional destination.
for, me, however, it’s more. for me, this about my daughters. sacramento will be a city they’re proud to call home. they will not reply sheepishly when someone asks where they’re from. that dies with this generation. (and who knows, we may even be able to convert some of you sacrahaters before it’s all over.)
in the time i am not with my daughters, i have a singular goal: improve sacramento. tonight, we celebrate a huge step in that direction.
we win, girls.

Well said Thomas!

*EDIT* We know about the 42 cents, lol… We have it covered XD

So my mom and I have been working the same waitress job for 5-6 years now. She had been waitressing years before, but this is recently. Anyway, about… 15 minutes ago this guy she waited on left and told her to take care. Just that. Prior to this she had talked to him about Italy. Her people are from Florence, this and that, and she said she’s never been. She’s got 8 years of art education and she’s working a waitress job. It’s pretty… Sad and disappointing, I guess. Her and my father divorced 6 years ago and she hasn’t had a real job ever. Just been stuck in a small town she’s not from.

This man who we have never seen before tipped her 1000 dollars for a trip to Italy. Walked out, not another word.

…you know. Just when I start to lose faith in humanity….Hm.

There is hope for humanity!
